Facilities and Equipment
Materials put in a cylindrical ball mill are hit by grinding balls and smashed against the inner wall, causing the friction and impact to pulverize the content. The resulting particle size differs depending on the speed and duration of the shell’s rotation. Because we use closed-circuit batch grinding, any additives required in downstream processes should be put into the mill together with the target materials so that they will be evenly mixed. A ball mill can produce much finer particles and a wider particle-size distribution than is possible with a turbo mill. Contamination by impurities from the liner and grinding medium is also less significant, which makes a ball mill suitable for mixing and dispersing materials.
